Getting In The Game The Right Way
September 12, 2022Hey! Hey! Magnifiers! Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup, and let’s get to know one another! My name is Cheron Crouch. I am a country girl from Columbus, Georgia and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor with over 15 years of clinical practice under my belt.
Today, I run Magnifying Expectations LLC, a behavior health firm that helps women like you and me identify our inner critic and send him packing. I’ve spent the better part of my life locating and evicting my own inner critic stemming from my childhood. Addressing my inner critic helps me empathize with my clients and their support systems in ways that I believe make me a better therapist.
In my 15 years of experience, I’ve found that our inner critics are often the voice that drives depression, anxiety, anger, and suicidal idealogy, and honey, ain’t nobody got time for that. But what do we have time for here at Magnifying Expectations? Your healing journey.
Meditation has played a huge role in my healing journey and has helped bring balance into my everyday life. I start every day and end every workday with meditation. I highly recommend it.
One thing I am super excited about this year is WORKSHOPS! While I love individual therapy, my desire to help as many people as possible free themselves from their inner critics has manifested into offering workshops throughout the year. Since we’re friends now, you should definitely drop into one!
The name of my workshop is called “Unfriending Your Inner Critic” and it is a 3-hour interactive workshop geared toward assisting you to understand the role of your inner critic, identifying your specific inner critic voice, and assisting you with using practical strategies to overcome the critical voice and live your best life. While my ideal clients tend to be those struggling with emotions and symptoms related to depression, anxiety, or suicidality, I believe everyone can benefit from learning tools to help them navigate their inner thoughts and life and shut down their inner critics.
Outside of work, I am a mom to a wonderful little boy and I also love to spend time with family, friends, and my sweetie in my free time. Speaking of, signing off to go spend some much-needed time with my ball of sunshine. Talk soon!
